Volunteer need
Today is Monday Oct 16th. I really need a couple of volunteers to help sort our Holiday Cards on Wednesday and Thursday for about 3 hours on each day. This will mean a savings of $359 for us. Please let me know if you can help.
Grew up as an R.A.F. brat and lived all over the world.Speak French, but a little rusty.I have been fortunate enough to have lived all over the world, including Singapore, Paris and of course all over the United Kingdom. Even though it was over 56 years ago I remember Singapore as if it was yesterday and waking up to fresh pineapple on the table or watching the servants shinny up the coconut trees to pick a ripe fruit and them break it open for me so I could drink the milk. My school was built on stilts because of the heavy monsoons we had. I was the milk monitress in charge of writing the student's milk order on the blackboard each day for the milkman. We could choose from white , chocolate or strawberry milk!
My memories of Paris are very strong and my favorite thing to do was to take the dinner cruise on the Seine, around the Ile de France while listening to the choir from Notre Dame singing..very romantic. Among all my many blessings I count the birth of my two sons and the adoption of my daughter among my best. A very close second are the arrivals of my six grandchildren, two of whom I witnessed struggling and screaming to enter this world.
